Resort 2014

Hello Chics,

We are constantly looking for inspiration for our website resort section. It has proven to be more of a challenge than in the past, because of the economy and limited selection of affordable resort wear. So, we chose to make this blog post about the absolute fantasy of resort. Our fantasy selection of Resort 2014 comes from one of our favorite designers BCBG Max Azria. Their resort collection made us want to drop everything that we have in the world, run off to Monte Carlo and just boat hop. Like really, no invitation needed, the clothes were my ticket in.

Holly Go Lightly Meets Rockglam

Philip Plein did the damn thing for Fall 2013 RTW. He mixed old school chic, with 60's classy and then added the quintessential 80's rock girl in! This collection will be one of our absolute inspirations for market. Fur vests, fur accents, leather on everything, fur leg warmers, white sweaters with stones and leather appliqués. We want it all.

Transitional Chic

As fall is quickly approaching and fashion is controlling so many aspects of our lives, we find it necessary to at least dedicate one blog to transitional pieces.

What do you wear when it's not time to wear boots, full coats and thick pants?

Here is our answer......

First....
Our mustard colored dress is a perfect balance of length and color to introduce the new season. Rock it with a denim jacket for evening and a gladiator sandal.

Our off the shoulder sweatshirt dress serves as a double header, comfort and sex appeal. The added bonus is that it comes in plus sizes. It is a great way to bring in the fall. Add a bootie and a scarf and your look is complete. 

Our loose fitting sheer long sleeved white top is flowy and chic. The added bonus here is that it goes with everything and comes in plus sizes. 

Our animal print sweatshirt mini dress is a perfect transition to fall. Pair it with our leopard booties and a denim jacket and you are set.

A Little Symmetry Please

So the little black dress has taken many forms. We have long sleeves, short sleeves, one sleeve, off the shoulder, cowl neck, deep v and just all out sheer. Whatever your mood is, there is a little black dress to fit it. We found this picture of Nicole Ritchie in her long sleeve asymmetrical black dress and took note. We wanted to make sure that our customers had an option. She has even paired it with a leopard bootie from her House of Harlow 1960 line.

With the right clutch and the right accessories, you will definitely stand out in the crowd whether it be date night, a night with the girls or just a night of being playful.

The Motorcycle Legging

Iman just stated that everyone needs to refigure the look of the legging. They are now considered in the industry as pants. Here at Amour Chic, we would might consider leggings as pants however, we consider them as leggings and that is their purpose. Think of them as thicker tights that give you more edge. 

The motorcycle legging is on our radar for fall. One celebrity that has this down to a science is Kim Khardashian. She has been instrumental in this trend with one of our favorite pair of leggings in her fashion line in sears. 

Our version of the motorcycle legging is a great asset to any fall wardrobe. It comes at an affordable price of $25. A new updated pair with a mesh overlay will be available on September 13th.
