Transitional Chic

As fall is quickly approaching and fashion is controlling so many aspects of our lives, we find it necessary to at least dedicate one blog to transitional pieces.

What do you wear when it's not time to wear boots, full coats and thick pants?

Here is our answer......

First....
Our mustard colored dress is a perfect balance of length and color to introduce the new season. Rock it with a denim jacket for evening and a gladiator sandal.

Our off the shoulder sweatshirt dress serves as a double header, comfort and sex appeal. The added bonus is that it comes in plus sizes. It is a great way to bring in the fall. Add a bootie and a scarf and your look is complete.

Our animal print sweatshirt mini dress is a perfect transition to fall. Pair it with our leopard booties and a denim jacket and you are set.

A Little Symmetry Please

So the little black dress has taken many forms. We have long sleeves, short sleeves, one sleeve, off the shoulder, cowl neck, deep v and just all out sheer. Whatever your mood is, there is a little black dress to fit it. We found this picture of Nicole Ritchie in her long sleeve asymmetrical black dress and took note. We wanted to make sure that our customers had an option. She has even paired it with a leopard bootie from her House of Harlow 1960 line.

With the right clutch and the right accessories, you will definitely stand out in the crowd whether it be date night, a night with the girls or just a night of being playful.

The Motorcycle Legging

Iman just stated that everyone needs to refigure the look of the legging. They are now considered in the industry as pants. Here at Amour Chic, we would might consider leggings as pants however, we consider them as leggings and that is their purpose. Think of them as thicker tights that give you more edge. 

The motorcycle legging is on our radar for fall. One celebrity that has this down to a science is Kim Khardashian. She has been instrumental in this trend with one of our favorite pair of leggings in her fashion line in sears.

The Leopard Bootie Factor!!

The Leopard Bootie is a closet staple. It's not old, it's not new, it's just fab!! Every girl has to have one in their closet. They can range from $20 at your local retail chain store , $45 in our online store or up to $1000 in a major department store. Wherever your budget lies, make sure to incorporate it in your wardrobe for the next six months. If you google Leopard booties, you will see that they were all the rage in Fall/Winter 2011. The Amour Chic girl is someone who creates their own fashion story and these should definitely have two pages in your book.

In case you need options or a small fashion recap, here is where you can start.

1.) Leather or leatherette leggings and a floaty blouse paired with leopard booties is a classic combination.

2.) A classic black mini dress paired with the leopard bootie is hot as well and adds a little attitude to your dress. You should wear minimal jewelry and carry a clutch.

3.) A shirt dress in any color always looks great when paired with the leopard bootie.

4.) You can also work it with any shade of denim.
